Bring Togetherness through Foreign Language Education on Cable TV

(Cakap as “Lingua Channel” Content Partner for Transvision)

Jakarta, September 26, 2019 – Today, the foreign language has become a basic ability that must be possessed by every individual. However, access to foreign language education is a problem for people who are hampered by time issues. For this reason, in the era of digital transformation, all parties need to collaborate in conducting activities as effectively as possible, in order to create the broadest possible impact.

Cable TV is a platform to access reliable and quality information. Unfortunately, in Indonesia, the amount of educational content is not proportional to the high interest of the public to enjoy educational content. Cable TV should be able to facilitate the learning process by providing educational shows in the living room. For these conditions, Transvision took Cakap as both content partner and provider of educational content through a new program called Lingua Channel.

There are three partners foreign languages that will be content throughout with interesting methods through the program. These are the Japanese Language, Chinese Language, and English Language. In accordance with the tagline that was carried on the Lingua Channel “Cara Asyik Belajar Bahasa Asing” (Fun Way to Learn Foreign Languages), all teaching is delivered in an interesting and communicative way.

According to M. Nuh, Former Minister of Education, “This collaboration will be a solution for two basic problems in education issues, which are accessibility and quality. This phenomenon can be explained as Ubiquitous, where technology is a solution to conventional problems.” The statement was made during the launch of the Lingua Channel program.

“Lingua Channel is expected to complete the choice of educational channels in Transvision, so that young people can compete in an era full of challenges”, said Brando Tengdom as the Marketing & Sales Director of Transvision.

In accordance with the slogan of Cakap itself, “Belajar Tanpa Batas” (Learning Without Borders), it is hoped that the spread of high-quality content as well as access to professional teachers can be evenly distributed in Indonesia. “We greatly appreciate and welcome the launch of the Lingua Channel program on Transvision, considering that foreign language education is very good for the early level of learning and can be a very important step for the spread of foreign languages in Indonesia,” Tomy Yunus, CEO of Cakap, ended his statement.
